Bearing Isolator is a sealing component developed to protect the rolling bearings used in rotating equipment, replacing the conventional rubber lip seal. Its labyrinth structure resolves the sealing issues commonly seen with lip seals.

Conventional lip seals can wear the shaft surface and allow lubricant degradation, contamination, and moisture ingress. Bearing Isolator protects the bearing and shaft from these problems and effectively extends service life. Because the mating surfaces never make contact, there is no wear or contamination at the interface. With an FKM (Viton®) O-ring and a PTFE body offering excellent heat resistance, lubricity and strength, it is well suited to the harsh conditions of rotating bearing equipment.
