Energy (Hydrogen/LNG/Nuclear)

[ 에너지 (수소·LNG·원자력) ]

Hydrogen, LNG, and nuclear-related equipment demand sealing conditions unlike conventional industries: cryogenic temperatures, high pressure, hydrogen permeation and rapid gas decompression, and radiation exposure. POLY STAR reviews the applicability of Spring-Energized Seals, PEEK components, and special seals based on the actual temperature, pressure, fluid, and installation structure.

Required Performance

1

Hydrogen Permeation & Rapid Gas Decompression Resistance

We review suitable compounds and seal geometries considering the risk of swelling, blistering, and cracking from high-pressure hydrogen permeation and repeated pressurization/decompression cycles.

2

Cryogenic Performance

General elastomers struggle to retain elasticity and recovery at LNG's roughly -162°C cryogenic temperatures, so PTFE-based spring-energized seals, PCTFE, or metal seals are reviewed based on the installation structure and leakage requirements.

3

High-Pressure Sealing

Stable sealing performance under high-pressure operating conditions.

4

Radiation Resistance

We confirm the availability of materials suited to radiation exposure environments based on the required dose endurance, temperature/pressure, contact fluid, and quality/traceability documentation.
