Bonded seal

Bonded seal product photo

Consists of a metal ring combined with an elastomeric sealing lip on its inner diameter, used together with the flange or top of a bolt or nut. Prevents internal lubricant leakage and blocks external contaminants and water ingress.

Working Principle & Structure

The elastomeric lip bonded to the metal ring's inner diameter is axially compressed between the bolt or nipple seat and the mating face, sealing on contact. The metal ring supports the shape and load while the elastomeric lip provides the actual seal — a dual structure that seals both faces simultaneously when tightened.

Key Features

1

Dual-seal design — the metal ring supports the shape while the inner elastomeric lip seals the fluid.

2

Compact installation — mounts directly under a bolt or nipple seat, with no separate groove machining needed.

3

Stable under repeated torque — the metal ring prevents over-compression, preserving sealing performance through repeated tightening.
