Working Principle & Structure

A hydraulic seal seals the working fluid's pressure as the piston and rod of a hydraulic cylinder move back and forth. Once installed, it sits under preload in the groove, giving it a primary sealing force even with no system pressure. As system pressure rises, fluid pushes against the back of the seal and raises contact pressure along with it — a self-energizing action where sealing force grows together with pressure.

Piston & Rod Seal / Piston Seal

Piston seals seal the space between the piston and the cylinder bore.

Rod Seal & Buffer Seal

Rod and buffer seals seal the space between the cylinder head and the piston rod.

Dust Wiper

Wiper seals are fitted to the outside of the cylinder head to prevent contaminants from entering the cylinder and hydraulic system.

Key Features

1

Self-energizing structure — sealing force increases in proportion to pressure.

2

Material choice by application — polyurethane (wear resistance), PTFE (low friction), NBR (general purpose).

3

Covers a full cylinder seal set: piston seal, rod seal, buffer seal, and wiper.

4

Custom manufacturing available for construction equipment hydraulic systems such as excavators.
